Manchu Manoj turns emotional and remembers Father Mohan Babu

Actor Manchu Manoj thanks fans for their strong support throughout their career. “It’s been nine years since the last release, but you’ve been around me. I’m really grateful for your love,” he said, recalling some of his popular movies like Bindass, Current Theega and Potugadu.

He also spoke to fans’ requests on social media, urging him to return to the movie. He added: “During the lockdown, several of my projects were discarded. I was waiting for the right script. Thanks to Bhairavam’s director Vijay Kanakamedla for giving me a character that I will remember.”

Manoj opens his struggles, saying, “When some of my family are out of reach, my fans are getting closer. I even told my wife Mounika that proudly, my real family is my fans. Director Vijay becomes like me relative to my blood.”

He veiled his brother, actor Manchu Vishnu, who said, “Just shouting ‘Sivayya’ – a conversation from Kannappa – won’t let God show up. If there is real dedication in your heart, God appears in the form of a producer and director.”

He also admitted to going through a rough patch. “I was under pressure for months. I had no support – my family and kids were driven out of the road and even my car was taken away. But I wasn’t angry with anyone about the legal issues I was facing.”

Despite the difficulties, Manoj reiterated his identity. “Anyway, I will always leave Mohan Babu’s son. This can never be changed. He taught me to represent honesty and justice, and I will not compromise on it. To me, he is both God and Mother.”
