NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar actually rejected Sanjay Raut on Monday (May 19, 2025), advising him not to bring “local-level politics” to India’s global outreach efforts, the second day of the leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), who has been called a boycott of the centre’s move to send delegations to various countries.

Mr Paval recalled that he was a member of the delegation sent to the United Nations by former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao under the leadership of BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

“Party-level politics should be avoided when international issues surface. Today, the Centre has established a number of delegations, who have been assigned to some countries and have put forward India’s stance on the Pahargam attack and follow-up activities in Pakistan,” the former defense minister said in Baramati media.

It is worth noting that Raut said on Sunday that voters of the Indian group should boycott the move of the coalition government to send delegations across the party to different countries, claiming that they will defend the “crimes and crimes” committed by the government.

Mr Paval said Mr Lauter has the right to express his opinion.

“But I can see a member of his party [Sena-UBT] is part of the delegation. I don’t think local politics should be brought into this issue. ” he said.

Maharashtra opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) includes Shiv Sena (UBT), the Nationalist Congress and Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

Fifty-one political leaders, parliamentarians and former ministers cross-party will be part of seven delegations heading to the world capital to address terrorism in the context of India’s operations in Sindor.

NCP (SP) Working President and Baramati MP Supriya Sule were part of one of the delegations, while Priyanka Chaturvedi represented Shiv Sena, led by Uddhav Thackeray.

Mr Paval said that when asked about some farmers who refused to participate in the project’s land against the proposed Purandar airport, he would address the issue by convening a meeting of local representatives in the area.

He noted that some of the land in these villages were irrigated through lift irrigation programs when serving as chief ministers.

“The farmlands in these villages are fertile for gardening and sugar cane, so locals do not want to provide land for the project. My efforts are to address this by convening a meeting of local representatives in the area, Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule and the Chief Minister, we hope to be able to save this irrigated lifesaving area. He said.

Locals who opposed the project met with Mr. Paval in Pune on Sunday and raised concerns about compensation, displacement and insufficient environmental damage.

A villager who met Mr. Pawar said the senior leader assigned to the NCP head, Deputy Prime Minister CM Ajit Pawar, who is also the Minister of the Guardian of Pune, and asked about the situation.

On May 3, violence broke out during a drone investigation in seven villages identified for the international airport. More than 25 police officers and several villagers were injured in the conflict.
