The Indian Meteorological Service (IMD) issued a yellow alarm for heavy rain in 23 areas including Bangalore from Monday to Thursday, warning of moderate to mid-resheto, with lightning and gusts reaching 50-60 km/h. Strong rainfall on Sunday caused severe bushes in several low-lying areas in Bangalore, recording about 40 mm of rain in 24 hours, with widespread rainfall expected throughout the week due to high air cyclone circulation and moisture wet troughs.
