Rahul aimed at Jaishankar, his silence was “abnormal”. The BJP said it was Pakistan’s language

Opposition leaders at Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi launched a new attack on Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar, saying he “informed” Pakistan “informed” Pakistan “informed” the number of people “informed” Pakistan “informed” Pakistan “informed” the “lost” aircraft “informed” in operation Sindoor.

The BJP fought back, accusing Mr. Gandhi of speaking “the language of Pakistan” and asking if the Congress party really seriously supported the country.

Mr. Gandhi also targeted Mr. Jaishankar earlier on the issue, indicating that India informed Pakistan of Pakistan’s military strikes against Pakistan’s terrorist infrastructure and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK).

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) described Mr Gandhi’s claim that Mr Jaishankar acknowledged India had issued an alarm to Pakistan before launching operation Sindoor on May 7 as a “complete distortion”.

“Eam Jaishankar’s silence is not only saying that it’s abominable. I ask again: Because Pakistan knows, how many Indian planes have we lost?” he said in his post on X.

Gandhi also said: “This is not a crime. It is a crime. This country deserves the truth.”

Congress leader earlier shared an undated video clip of Mr Jaishankar and wrote: “At the beginning of our attack, it was a crime to inform Pakistan.

Congressional leaders asked: “Who authorized it? How many aircraft did our Air Force lose as a result.”

The Ministry’s External Propaganda (XP) Justice said: “The Foreign Minister has said that we warned Pakistan from the outset that this is clearly an early stage after the start of Operation Sindor.”

“This is wrongly expressed before the beginning. This thorough statement of fact is called out,” it said in a brief statement.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi attacked Mr Gandhi, saying he had misquoted the MEA.

“Rahul Gandhi seems to have learned nothing from his past mistakes. He continues to disrespect the U.S. Armed Forces by questioning how many nozzles were lost – although clear statements from the IAF and MEA confirmed that there were no loss of assets.

Mr Josh said in a post on X: “Although DGMO clarified India’s efforts to communicate with his peers in a May 11 briefing, he misled the MEA. Is the Congress party really serious in supporting the support of the country? Their actions indicate otherwise.”

Amit Malviya, head of IT at BJP, said in an article on X: “Rahul Gandhi’s stupidity is not just accidental. It’s sinister. Rahul Gandhi must avoid distorting the facts. India knows who he really is talking about.”

BJP state spokesman Pradeep Bhandari claimed that the comments from Congress leaders reflected Pakistan’s propaganda.

“Rahul Gandhi’s ignorance is not only random – it’s dangerous,” he said.

He added: “Rahul Gandhi’s intentional distortion of facts is not a loss. It is a move designed to feed hostile narratives. When India immediately opposed the terrorist attacks, he chose to sow chaos and celebrate Pakistan.”

Mr. Bhandari said in another post on X: “Rahul is not ignorant.

AICC Media and Propaganda Chairman Pawan Khera said Rahul Gandhi raised some questions about the Foreign Minister’s statement. This has become very important, he said, because last week, U.S. President Donald Trump has been repetitioning different countries that he regulates to stop the war.

Mr. Kra said the statement from the Foreign Minister was sensitive because the terrorists must have escaped from their hiding place.

He asked: “Prime Minister Modi and Foreign Minister will have to answer why he did this.”

“The government should answer how many aircraft the country has lost? What losses the country has suffered? How many terrorists have escaped?” he asked.

Mr Khera claimed that the BJP is conducting small politics on issues of national interests and believes that the opposition will remain silent and will not ask questions related to the country’s security.

“We will keep asking questions and if we don’t ask questions, the terrorist incidents will continue to happen in the country,” he noted.

“We don’t know what secrets the United States and China have to PM Modi, Foreign Ministers and BJP leaders because they never speak in front of the United States and China. Whenever PM speaks, it gives people a clean disease.”

“The whole country and the world know about China’s role in this war, and the United States itself is in stopping this war, but Jaishankar ji is not speaking,” said the congressional leader.

Mr Khera said Mr Jaishankar himself told the media that they had notified Pakistan before the attack was launched.

“What does this mean now? The Foreign Minister has so much trust in Pakistan that the terrorists will sit quietly under his command? What is the relationship between the Foreign Minister? Why did he inform Pakistan before the attack?”

He said: “In fact, it’s not diplomacy, it’s spy. Everyone heard what the foreign minister said – but it was covered up. Is this because this message allowed Masood Azhar to survive, Hafiz Saeed to survive, and Hafiz Saeed escape alive? The country has no right to know…”
