Sikandar opens to mixed reviews

Sikandar, directed by Ar Murugadoss, has begun mixing comments from audiences and critics. Several fans of the actor, crowded with Mumbai’s popular Gaitey and Galaxy Cinema, with Garlands in hand, calling for the return of Bhai, as the actor is widely known.
Salman Khan, who published a remake of popular Southern films such as Tere Naam, said he was impressed by the director’s vision. Ar Murugadoss recently said Stardom takes precedence over scripts when working with stars like Salman.
“In a movie like this, it’s important to cater to their fan base,” he said.
Fans seemed delighted, praising the actor’s entry and calling him Paisa Vasool and the popular entertainer. However, film critics and other film audiences have completely different views.
Let’s Cinema is a popular movie site that calls this movie a boring action drama. “The lifeless story was not involved, the background score was poor, except for some good action stunts,” they wrote. Another netizen questioned whether it was time to question the filmmaking style of the once popular director. “Like Shanka, Ar Murugadoss has also been added to the legendary list of obsolete styles.”
Another user said: “Just like Shankar did to India and game changers, Murgadoss also chose to direct two movies at the same time, both of which were ruined.”
Exhibitors say that it depends largely on how it has achieved over the next few days, and not just the word-of-mouth of review audiences, which is crucial to the success of a film like this.
“The film received encouraging reservations from ticket sales in India on the first day. Movies like these reactions are always mixed. But it depends heavily on how the film performs over the next few days and whether the popular reactions are positive.”
