Harsh Dubey, bowler hat, most wickets, made IPL debut in a single Ranji Trophy season

Harsh Dubey made his debut on Monday against Lucknow Super Giants in Ekana Stadium’s Sunrisers Hyderabad, after being named “Tour” next month a few days later.

The left-arm spinner replaced Australian opener Travis Head, who was ruled out of conflict after being late for a squad due to a 19-year infection.

Dubey played four, including two new balls, and claimed to be a major wicket for a dangerous Mitchell Marsh. He ended the spell with 1/44.

Who is the harsh Dolby

The 22-year-old from Vidarbha was not sold at the IPL 2025 Mega auction but was later signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad to R Smaran’s injury replacement.

He is a left-arm spinner who can also contribute to the racket during the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy season and make headlines and get 69 wickets. He broke the record of the most wickets in a single Ranji trophy season, surpassing the record of 68 wickets set by Ashutosh Aman in 2018-19.

After a successful domestic season, Dubey played first-tier division league cricket in Chennai. However, when SRH signed him to replace the player on May 5, his mission was shortened. He did not win the game before the IPL was suspended due to rising cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.
After the IPL resumed, Dubey entered 11 of SRH’s first matches. He got the opportunity with Atharva Taide, who was brought into Jaydev Unadkat’s influence.
Harsh has competed in 18 top-notch games, with an average of 97 wickets since his debut for Vidarbha in December 2022, with an average of 19.88
However, his performance in white cricket has not yet reflected similar numbers. He scored 21 wickets in 20 A games, but in 16 T20 games, he had a T20 speed of 60 times, despite his economical T20 speed.

With the SRH’s playoff battle, Harsh will now travel to England with the first Indian players. Under Abhimanyu Easwaran, the Indian A team will play two four-day matches in England before facing the Indian Senior Test team in one match.
