The Telangana State Human Rights Commission claimed on May 18 in Gulzar Houz near Charminar that he knew Suo Motu in the fire and resided on May 18 and seeks explanations for top officials who may misstep in safety and preparation.
The committee highlighted the tragedy in media reports, and the committee observed that building safety, maintenance and fire in the house could be serious negligent after a short circuit on the wooden electric boards on the boards.
In a notice issued on Monday, the committee directed Telangana chief secretary, Hyderabad police chief, director general of the fire department and chief engineer of Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) to submit detailed reports on the incident. These submissions are before the next hearing day.
“The Commission is committed to ensuring accountability and protecting citizens’ right to life and safety,” it said in a statement.
The fire is believed to have begun at the entrance of the building where the electric panels are located. For those members of the Modi family who gathered for the wedding, there was little chance of escape.
