Telangana’s director of public health and family welfare B. Ravinder Naik explicitly denied rumors of alleged hypoxia in ambulances deployed in Sunday’s fire in Gulzar Houz.

In an official statement released on Monday, Dr. Naik clarified that a total of eight ambulances were sent to the site, with the first patient being taken to Osmania General Hospital at ambulance number TS08UL5682 at 6.25 AM. A total of 15 patients were evacuated and transferred to hospitals including Osmania, Care, Apollo and Yashoda, all in a “108” ambulance equipped with oxygen support.

Dr. Naik pointed out that the health department was immediately alerted after the incident and a group of doctors were taken to the scene. A professional team is also on standby at Osmania General Hospital to ensure timely treatment of injured people. He confirmed that all victims succumbed to injuries, but the department worked to speed up autopsy procedures and reduce additional trauma to the victim’s family.
