Surprise examination at Mahabubabad Hospital

Warangal: Regional Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) Dr. B. Ravi Rathod directed all private hospitals in Mahabubabad on Monday to highlight the board of directors listing the costs and services provided for visiting patients.
During a surprise examination at a private hospital in Mahabubad town, Dr. Rathod directed the hospital management to strictly abide by the Clinical Institutions Act of 2010 and to charge fees in accordance with prescribed norms. He stressed the importance of installing fire-fighting equipment and gaining effective permissions from biomedical and pollution control boards. He added that all these certifications must be clearly displayed in the venue for public view.
Dr. Rathod warned that hospitals find violations of these rules will face strict actions, including issuing notices on reasons for performance, cancellation of permits or fines. He further instructed that only trained and certified radiologists or gynecologists are authorized to perform scans on pregnant women. Disclosure of the sex of the fetus during or after the scan is a legally punishable offence.
All diagnostic centers must clearly display the board on the scanning room and waiting area: “No gender determination is made here.” He also instructed all centers to submit Form-F to the regional medical and health department by the 5th of each month without any loss. In addition, each Form-F must be uploaded online on the same day it is generated.
Program officer Dr. Sarangam, Deputy Media Officer Koppu Prasad and Health Promotion Officer Lokya accompanied Dr. Rathod during the examination.
