Minister recommends keeping green plants along Kochi subway median

Industry Minister P. Rajeeve suggested on Monday that Kochi Metro Co., Ltd. (KMRL) will retain the medium-digit greenery through a collective effort.
In the context of global warming and climate change, green space must be preserved as much as possible, and said in a press release. The minister opened a gas station built by KMRL with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in Kalamassery, and said Kochi Metropolitan could explore whether it could jointly preserve green plants with other institutions in the middle.
He added that Kochi’s water has attracted attention worldwide. He said KMRL has been entrusted with the task of establishing water cities across the country.
Congressman HBI Eden presided over the function, saying most of the country’s cities are not profitable. Kochi Metro’s move to set up a gas station is an example of its attempt to increase returns. He said the agency should take steps to ensure median greening.
