Prem Prakash believes that Britain and the United States support the establishment of Pakistan amid tensions in the early Cold War to oppose Soviet influence.
In his new book History overlooked by IndiaPrem Prakash was born in 1931 and concluded that the outgoing British Empire deliberately supported the creation of Pakistan because the West needed it in the Cold War against the Soviet Union shortly after the end of World War II. “India’s leadership is considered left-leaning and cannot be relied on. It’s something that Kinner successfully convinced the British and Americans, and the Congressional leaders were sentenced to jail after August 1942. Pakistan would be the action to stop the Soviet Union from going to the warm Waters to the Arabian Sea.” According to Prakash, the Congressional leaders led by Jawaharlal Nehru did not realize in 1946 that the Cold War had begun.
In Prakash’s assessment, Mohammad Ali Jinnah managed to convince the British and Americans that he was a friend of the subcontinent alone, while the Hindu Congress pictured left. It is recorded that even throughout the freedom struggle, Kinner was not sentenced to jail or imprisonment.
Therefore, for Britain and the West, in 1946, Kinner was the voice of Indian Muslims. They ignored all other Muslim voices that actually represent the voices of most Muslims living in India in 1946. The reason why the British have some attitudes is that the Indian people do not know. Prakash borrows from the book by Khan Wali Khan, Facts are facts (Khan Wali Khan is the son of “Border Gandhi” India wins freedom. Azad confirmed Pakistan’s front-line states created by Britain to oppose the Soviet Union or for the interests of our and European countries.

Prakash proposed a series of events after World War II, providing a graphic description of how British Governor Archibald Wavell was competent for the Muslim League to give the Provisional Government a chance. Representatives of the Muslim League joined the government on October 26, 1946. Jawaharlal Nehru continues to serve as Prime Minister. Many reasons have been given, but the main reason for the Muslim League to join the Provisional Government is not to lose sympathy for the British government, but to ensure their loyalty. “At that moment, everything was fine, because the interim government was responsible for the country.” But the attraction and kindness of independence did not seem to inspire solidarity among the political classes. Muslim League ministers did not meet with Congress ministers, and the interim government was far from a cohesive team.

Prakash continued with a taste of sadness and anger, “We are all alive and then know what happened when the two countries divide on religious basis. Never have seen such a huge human movement in history. No one can kill the number of this number, making this number kill the estimated 5 million estimate of this number.”
“With a country’s army”
After independence, Khan Wali Khan conducted a thorough study of British government documents in London, including newspapers he could obtain from the British Foreign Office. He believed that what Indian leaders didn’t know led the British to hurry through India’s division. After researching papers and talking to many British politicians, he wrote an eye-opening book Facts are facts. In this book, he introduces his analysis of Britain, why Britain is a staunch ally of the United States, and he is keen to establish a sovereign Pakistan in northern India.

Prakash often travels to Pakistan and he says he hears a joke on the streets of Pakistan [in Pakistan] The Army has a country.
Pakistan soon joined the group of Western countries led by the United States against the Soviet Union. The country becomes a member of the Southeast Asian Treaty Organization (SEATO). Soon after, the United States established a secret air base in Peshawar, from which U.S. spy U2 aircraft used to take off frequently to see what the Soviet Union did in nuclear development or space research. These aircraft can fly at altitudes where Soviet missiles cannot hit them. The Soviet Union soon developed a missile that hit the U2 aircraft and its pilot Gary Powers, which was ejected but arrested by the Soviet Union.

Written by Khan Wali Khan in his book Why the Division of India , Pakistan becomes the frontline state of the Western Union. In the proxy war between the United States and its allies, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, fighting the Soviet Union in Afghanistan from the end of 1979, Pakistan’s role was crucial.
Prakash makes some interesting observations in his book. For example:
-
British Prime Minister Clement Attlee himself made it clear that the decision to leave India was not made because of Mahatma Gandhi or Parliament. “Minimum” is the exact word he used to describe the influence of both in the decision of Raj in England to leave India.
-
The independent Indian government under Nehru began to use administrative and bureaucratic structures that the British had missed. The bureaucratic culture is to delay reactions to any representative and act as if the ruler is helpful to the subject.
- Congress is the shadow of its past. In the long run, it cannot eradicate poverty from the country. Election of parliament has become a caste and religious election. The 10-year reservation for 10 years was adopted by the Constitution, and the reservation requirements for various social parts continued to increase. This led to brain loss, another sad story of India after India’s independence.
-
The Bharatiya Janata party under Narendra Modi has been in power since 2014. The party is developing plans to ensure that the benefits obtained by the poor are directly integrated into their bank accounts. The poor are providing basic facilities to the poor, such as toilets, houses, cooking gas and electricity. Only time can tell how long it will take for India to become a self-reliant and prosperous country.
All in all, Prakash’s book provides a compelling alternative narrative for partitions that challenge traditional understanding. By highlighting geopolitical considerations that drive British policy, he invites readers to reconsider critical moments in South Asian history through the Cold War lens, which provides new perspectives on the decisions that continue to shape the region today.
