A former police officer has been charged with murdering a TV host using his service weapon, and his partner will face court more than a year after the two disappeared.

Beaumont Lamarre-Condon, 29, shot dead TV host Jesse Baird and Qantas flight attendant Luke Davies in February 2024 and was charged with two counts of murder on February 29, 2024.

He was accused of tying the couple’s bodies in surfboard bags at the time and then throwing them onto a rural property.

The former policeman was sentenced to jail the past year after the attack, believed to be the result of a month-long campaign against Mr Baird’s “predatory acts.”

Lamarre-Condon briefly dated a TV show host before Baird established a relationship with Davies.

The case returned to Downing Center District Court on Tuesday in a confidential discussion between prosecutors and so-called killer attorney Alex Curnick.

Megan Greenwood was told that both sides agreed that “things are going”.

A report from forensic psychiatrists has also been presented after an evaluation of Lamarre-Condon in recent weeks.

Lamarre-Condon faces two counts of murder in connection with domestic violence, one count of breaking the charge and intent to commit a prosecutable offence.

The remains of the men were found by police on a fence line on the Bungonia rural property near Goulburn, Tallinn Island in southern New South Wales.

Lamarre-Condon was fired by the NSW Police Force in March 2024.

He joined the unit in 2019 and has previously run a celebrity blog and has photographed with dozens of A-Listers, including Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Harry Styles.

Lamarre-Condon is expected to appear on June 17 via audio-visual links.
