HCA denies SRH’s ransomware charges

Hyderabad: Hyderabad on Sunday sought intervention from the BCCI and IPL council to stop the recurring “ransomware tactics” of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, but the state unit denied all of these allegations of the franchise.

In PTI-owned mail, the mailing of top brass to the governing body said that if the HCA continues to “threate” the franchise, it will consider moving the family game to another state, mainly to get more free tickets (free passes).

However, HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao denied any such request from Sunrisers Hyderabad Management.

“The HCA has not received any official emails from the SRH management. There is no truth in the news published on social media and on some websites,” Rao said in the notice.

Rao said such efforts have been made to undermine the association’s image and its relationship with SRH.

He further said: “If emails are indeed received, what is the conspiracy to leak this information from unknown emails instead of official HCA or SRH emails? This is a malicious campaign by some people to damage the reputation of HCA-SRH.”
