Street Fighter 6 Overwatch: Overwatch 2 and Street Fighter Crossover: Release Date and Skin

Overwatch 2 and Street Fighter crossovers will begin Tuesday, May 20, 2025. It will be released along with the mid-Season 16 patch. Players will be able to access new content on the same day. The update includes a few new skins of heroes inspired by the characters from Street Fighter 6.

Eight Overwatch 2 heroes will receive new crossover skins. These skins are shown in an animated trailer during Evo Japan 2025. Every Overwatch hero matches the Street Fighter character. Pairing is listed below:
Hanzo will get Ryu skin.
Winston will appear as Blanca.
Soldier 76 will wear a cunning themed skin.
Sigma will feature the appearance of an M. Bison.
The new skin of the Widow Maker is based on Cammy.
Kiriko’s skin will reflect Juri.
Juno will dress up as Chun-Li.
Zenyatta will be similar to Dhalsim.

Visual effects
The crossover trailer shows each hero with a bold visual effect. These animated mirrored street fighters drive force and drive impact mechanics. It has not been confirmed whether these effects are included in the actual game. They may be used only for trailers. Developers want to reflect the Street Fighter style. Assistant Game Director Alec Dawson also participated in Evo Japan, showing the team’s connection to the fighting game scene.
