“Modi has a weird identity”: Chilean president calls PM “key person” in geopolitics | Indian News

Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font made a state visit to India in a speech held by Rashtrapati Bhawan on Tuesday, praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his “weird” status in geopoliticality, adding that he was a “key person” in the atmosphere of geopolitical tendency.

The Chilean president will pay a state visit to India from April 1 to 5, 2025 to commemorate the establishment of 76-year diplomatic relations between the two countries. President Droupadi Murmu held a banquet on Tuesday to honor Rashtrapati Bhavan’s Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font.

In his speech by Rashtrapati Bhawan, the Chilean president said that Prime Minister Modi has a “strange” status because he can talk to people including U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and others. He pointed out that this is what other leaders said.

He said: “There is a strange identity of Prime Minister Modi today, and he can talk to every leader around the world, Mr. Trump, Mr. Zelenskyy, Mr. Zelenskyy and the EU and Latin American leaders in the BRICS or Iran. This is what other leaders can say now. You are the main player in the atmosphere of local tendency today.”

He also said: “Chile wants to establish a relationship with India in our place.”

“Chile is a country related to the world and now we want to establish relations with India. Today, we have signed several Moss.”

According to the release of the Prime Minister’s Office, the president is accompanied by diplomacy, agriculture, mining, women and gender equality with culture, arts and heritage, members of parliament, senior officials and business leaders. While this is his first visit to India, President Boric and Prime Minister PM Modi met for the first time at the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro in November 2024.
