BCCI punishes LSG Bowler Digvesh Singh Rathi for controversial “laptop” sent to Priyansh Arya, faces multiple penalties

LSG vs PBK: LSG Spinner Digvesh Singh celebrates after letting PBKS hit the ball Priyansh Arya make an appearance 8 times.
LSG Bowler Digvesh Singh will be fined for the top of his champion batsman Priyansh Arya during Tuesday’s IPL 2025 match. After taking Arya’s wicket, Digvesh couldn’t help but imitate the iconic notebook celebration, especially since Arya managed to score eight times in the third inning, while PBK chased the goal of 172 runs.
The wicket was when Digvesh bowled, causing Arya to hit the pull-up shot, causing the ball to hit the top edge of his bat. Shardul Thakur stationed in the middle is easy to catch.
After the fire, Digvesh is seen chasing Arya and pretending to write down Arya’s name in a fictional notebook. Interestingly, Arya seems to have no reaction to the entire spectacle.

It is also worth noting that both players have been teammates in DPL 2024 before.
However, the IPL Council found Digvesh’s antics unique. Therefore, BCCI gave him a 25% fine on the game fee and handed him a question.
“Digvesh Singh, Bowler, Lucknow Super Giants has been fined 25 percent of his match fees and has also accumulated One Demerit Point for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Punjab Kings at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Tuesday,” a statement released by the IPL said.
Digvesh stepped forward and admitted that he committed the first-degree crime as stated in Article 2.5, and he accepted the consequences that followed.
Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant’s team faced a second defeat in three games, putting them on the scoring table. They had a tough start and found themselves at 35/3, but they showed great determination and managed to set 171 goals in their first home game.
Unfortunately, their efforts were in vain as PBK won eight wickets after chasing eight wickets in just 16.2 games. With two wickets, as well as the withdrawal of key players such as Prabsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya, they all contributed greatly to the team’s performance, and Digvesh had a significant impact on the game.
