Engineering student death during college cricket match suspicious cardiac arrest

Hyderabad: A final B.Tech student, identified as 21-year-old Vinay Kumar from Khammam district, died tragically on Friday, April 4 while competing in a cricket match at CMR Engineering College in Medchal. This event was considered to be the result of cardiac arrest.
The event took place at night when the college held a cricket match on campus. Vinay, who was playing football at the time, suddenly fell on the court. Classmates and university staff responded immediately and drove him to a nearby medical institution. However, upon arrival, the doctor declared him dead.
Preliminary medical evaluations suggest that cardiac arrest may be the cause of death. Vinay’s family was informed of the tragic incident but did not express doubts about the situation. Local police have investigated the matter.
