Stand-up comedian and reality show winner Munawar Faruqui recently opened up his marriage to celebrity makeup artist Mehzabeen Coatwala. Speaking on the Ramadan special video blog of Sana Khan and Anas Saiyad, Munawar shares how life has changed since his marriage and how he longs for the stability that marriage now brings.
Munawar, reflecting on this chapter, said: “This time, the atmosphere at home is different. I am very happy. The last Ramadan, I remember being exhausted and praying that I just want to settle down. I was tired of feeling lost. I wanted stability and fate gave me what I needed.” He further thanked, saying: “I never thought I would find a partner like this. My family was complete – she was like the perfect puzzle that was missing.”
In a surprising revelation, Munawar revealed that he was hospitalized a week before his wedding due to gut problems. “I was admitted for two days and the doctor told me they would release me soon. But I told them, “Tomorrow is my wedding!” “The doctor smiled, but refused to fire me immediately. He advised me not to eat anything, I agreed, I was like it was OK, but I had to go,” he recalled.
Sana Khan and Anas Saiyad, who realized the wedding plan, admitted that they initially doubted whether the ceremony would actually occur. “We were shocked and wondered if the wedding happened,” they shared.
Munawar and Mehzabeen got married at a private ceremony in Mumbai on May 26, 2024. This marks Mehzabeen’s second marriage, with a 10-year-old daughter. Since the wedding, she occasionally shares glimpses of the fusion family with Munaval’s son.
Munawar’s heartfelt words reflect the happiness and satisfaction he found in his marriage, marking a new stage of love and stability throughout his life.
