With the start of the highly anticipated TATA IPL 2025 competition week, Jiostar expert Shane Watson shares insights on team strategy, as well as a focus on players among Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings and more.
Shane Watson reflected on the abnormal start of the season and changes in strategy after the big auction on CSK during the show. “It’s a surprising start for CSK. Usually, every big auction after CSK, CSK always carefully plans and locks their combination – both in the batting order or bowling options. So, in the first four games, there are a lot of adjustments in the first four games that are very different in my game. In my game, the car and the event are very clear. Rarely happens, but they still have some gaps in the last game. This is the adjustment made in the last game and played some as a unit under different conditions and they will find the rhythm. Especially from a batting standpoint, having a strong first three or four sets the tone (whether it’s a blow first or a chase), which makes life in the middle and lower order easier and can take advantage of a good start.”
Watson also shared his thoughts on the impact of the Mumbai Indians this season and what his return means: “It was a big boost to the Mumbai Indians’ return. It’s great for Jaspritbumrah – he performed his abilities as we played for India throughout the IPL and global cricket. His return has boosted the Mumbai Indians slightly this season due to his changes and excellent executions.
Watson has shared his thoughts on the Chennai Super Kings campaign so far, highlighting the importance of the Supreme Order and the importance of supporting MS Dhoni’s ability to complete. He said: “You can never write off CSK – they know how to win. The highest order is his duty.
Watson shares his thoughts on the Royal Bangladesh Challengers and their chances at Tata IPL in 2025. He said: “RCB has a very strong squad. We’ve seen how they perform. How they do. They have world-class new bowlers and have been a solid roster in their batting roster. There are one or two weaknesses this season, though.
