Dhulipalla slams YSRCP leader’s ‘attack’ on YouTuber in police custody

TDP MLA Dhulipalla Narendra criticized the YSR Congressional Party (YSRCP) leaders, accusing them of continuing to act with arrogance despite being out of control of the vote. Mr Dhulipalla, citing an incident involving former MP Gorantla Madhav, said Mr Madhav attacked Youtuber Chebrolu Kiran while in police custody, saying in a statement Thursday it was a shameful mark of democracy.

Dhulipalla questioned how Madhav knew about Kiran’s transfer route without internal information from YSRCP sympathizers inside the police station. “This clearly demonstrates a premeditated attack,” he said.

Mr Dhulipalla noted that the coalition government had arrested Mr Kieran’s inappropriate comments on the family of the YSRCP leaders, noting that this was done within the scope of the law and reflected the integrity of the government.

He asked for investigation and action on those who leaked information to Mr. Madhav. “If not, the detention attack reflects a serious failure of the police,” he said.
