Young Indians launch national initiative “Young Indian Parliament 2025”

The Young Indians (YI) Mysuru chapter is part of the Federation of Industry of India (CII), which will launch a national initiative, the Young Indian Parliament 2025, to instill citizenship, leadership, leadership and policy understanding among school students.
YIP 2025’s theme is “Where Young People Shape the Country – Debate | Decision | Driver” will provide students with a platform to participate in parliamentary simulations, participate in structured debates, and gain first-hand experience in governance and public policy.
Yip’s press release said Yip was aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of empowering youth without political ancestry to intervene in governance and leadership. The release adds that this will also promote people’s belief that the power of democracy lies in virtue, thought and courage to lead.
YIP has three-tier formations – City Tour, Regional Tour and National Finals. The release notes that students are encouraged to develop public speaking, negotiation and policy analysis skills, and the best students from the city level will continue to move forward in the regional rounds conducted by eight cities, with finalists participating in the National Parliamentary Simulation.
In 2024, YIP saw participation from more than 4,300 students from 720 schools, promoted by eight YI City chapters. The program focuses on relevant and key topics including skill development and artificial intelligence readiness, environmental sustainability, education reform, empowerment of youth, women and children’s safety, and technology and cybersecurity.
Schools in and around Mysuru may send their expressions of interest to 2025 by April 30. For more details, K. Guruprasad should be contacted at yi.mysuru@cii.in or 9535639537.
