Himanta meets Jeet Adani discusses investment advice for Rs 50,000 crore in Assam

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with Adani Group Director Jeet Adani on Sunday and discussed the group’s proposed Rs 5,000 crore investment at the state business summit in February.

Mr Salma said the state government expects the Adani Group proposal for investment in various sectors to become a reality soon.

“During #AdvantageAssAM2, the Adani Group made an investment commitment of Rs 50,000 crore. Today, with my senior officials, we had an in-depth meeting with Mr. Jeet Adani, Director of the Adani Group and his team to deliver on that commitment,” he said in a post on X.

He added: “We expect the MoU we signed will take off as soon as possible in relation to the huge investments we have signed in relation to the development of aviation cities, hotels, cement plants and major infrastructure projects.”

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani announced that the conglomerate will invest Rs 5,000 crore in various departments of the state to respond to the inauguration of the Assam 2.0 Business Summit in February.
