Six people died and 13 injured in fresh air strikes in the outskirts of Yemen’s capital: Health authorities | World News

SANAA: Houthi-Run health authorities said in an updated statement that the death toll from fresh air strikes in the western suburbs of Sanaa, Yemeni capital, has risen to six, with another 13 injured. Residents and health authorities say the strike is targeting a ceramic factory in Barney Matal district. According to Xinhua News Agency, the roar of fighter planes was reportedly heard in Sanaa before and after the air strike.

In addition, U.S. fighter jets conducted two strikes in Malibu and the north of Al-Jawf, according to Houthi-Run’s Al-Masirah TV station. It noted that the latest air raids have brought the total number of US aircrafts across northern Yemen throughout the day to 25. Hours earlier, the Houthi group claimed responsibility for three aircrafts on Israeli targets, including the Sdot Micha military base and the Ben Gurion airport in central Israel, as well as an unspecified “vital target” in the Ashkelon area, southern Israel.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli military said that a missile launched by its air defense system from Yemen was “possibly intercepted” before entering Israeli airspace. Tensions have escalated in recent weeks between the Houthi group and the United States and its allies Israel, especially since the U.S. military resumed air strikes on March 15, targeting Houthi targets to prevent the group from attacking Israel and the U.S. interests in the region.

However, the U.S. strike failed to stop the militia. In a recent development, the Houthi Group issued a warning on Saturday warning Yemen to operate ground with any potential U.S.-led leader, vowing to respond in “hell.” Amid reports from local media outlets in Yemeni media, the threat has occurred, suggesting that the United States may be ready to support Yemeni government forces to recapture SANAAA and other northern regions currently under Houthi control.

Houthis, who controls a large swath of Yemen’s northern region, has been attacking Israeli targets since November 2023 to show solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Yemen-based militia claimed it would stop operating if Israel ends the ongoing war in Gaza and incorporates essential food and medicines into striptease.
