On Monday (14 April 2025), a new auspicious starting point, family unity and devout hope are hopes of the Vishu celebrations held in Kerala.
The important part of Keralites considers the first day of the annual Malayalam calendar, suitable for new businesses and is ideal for setting new goals.
For many, Vishu needs a miserable life, a novel and relatively productive path.
The Vishu Kani ceremony is the heart of the festival. It is essentially an aesthetic arrangement of seasonal fruits, local vegetables, rice, padi stalks, coconut and cane stalks, laid with golden kani kanna (indian beef) flowers and beside the illumination of the Indian gods and figurines.
Families usually check out Comely Bluestement’s first thing on Vishu Day.
For many, the showcase marks the new year, the arrival of the spring sowing season and the guarantee of hope for a rich harvest. The exchange of gifts, a luxurious feast and a breakage of firefighters are characteristic of Vish celebrations.
Family dressed in traditional Kerala costumes visited temples all over the state. Sabarimala, Guruvayoor and Sree Padmanabha Swamy Semples reportedly went through higher steps than they did in the previous year.
Online bookings include at least 30,000 people participating in Vishu Pooja in Sabarimala. The priests of the temple distributed small coin-shaped pieces of the main deities to the devotees, gathering together to witness the Vishu Kani ceremony.

Vishu protests
Vishu is also a protest by ASHA workers.
On the 62nd day of the sit-in protest by the Government Secretariat, members of the Kerala ASHA Workers Association observed Vishu to focus on their request.
They set up a Vishu Kani, S. Amit, son of 10-year-old Asha, joined the protesters in front of the incitement venue, dressed in fabulous Krishnan, the Hindu god considered the mascot of the festival.
Drawing on the Vishu tradition of gifting friends, family currencies and coins, the health department has launched an online donation program to benefit children with rare diseases.
