Telangana BJP President and Minister of Coal Mine Union G. Kishan Reddy claimed that the decision to make caste enumeration was made after careful consideration rather than sudden deliberation. He said this shows that our government is committed to the values and interests of our society and the country, just as the government in the past proposed 10% reservations to areas that were less socioeconomic, without stressing in any part of the society.
Mr Reddy accused Congress and its allies of using the “caste census” as a political tool. “Their intentions are not for social justice or better administration, but as tools for dividing society and causing friction,” he claimed in a press release.
