IPL 2025 | Fleming warns that we have no time to be patient and can’t wait

Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming admits his team is facing the dilemma of players who are inconsistently delivered in IPL 2025.
“It’s a delicate phase, isn’t it? We’re still in the game, but we’ve been tying this thread, trying to find balance while giving guys an extended run to show some form of situation, and want to achieve results,” Fleming said before Saturday’s clash against the Mumbai Indians on Sunday at high voltage.
“Unfortunately, we found ourselves in where we were and we had run out of time too patient. On the other hand, we didn’t want to continue chopping and changing, trying to find the magic formula, and it’s likely that our game has so far so far.”
The Super King is placed at the bottom of the dot table during the midway stage. While hopefully there is a miraculous turnaround, Fleming is planning for the future.
“We’ve been following this season, but we also have some expectations to make sure we’re developing players for the future, which could be the second half of the season if it’s not going well in the next few games,” Fleming said.
“(Ramakrishna) Ghosh is one. He is an all-round man. He has a great future. Ayush (Mhatre) just joined us. He is impressed with the judgment, but he is really young in terms of experience,” he said.
“Shaik Rasheed has been with us for a while. There are a lot of other people who have played a lot of balls. They are all good players and that’s exactly where they are right now.”
