A loud voice was heard in Golaghat, Assam. Officials blame “voice boom”

Guwahati: The local government said loud and mysterious voices were heard in several places in the Golaghat district of Assam, and preliminary investigations showed that it was emanating from the “sound boom”.
Sound boom is the thunder sound caused by the shock waves of an airplane or other object, which is faster than sound.
The government urges the public not to panic.
The Golaghat Regional Administration said on its official Facebook page that loud noises were heard in Melapani, Sarupasar and several other places in the region.
It said both the police and the civil government are actively investigating the source of the voice.
“From the intensity of the sound, it seems to be caused by the sound boom,” the government said.
