Karthik is a 21-year-old man who is confident of eating five bottles of alcohol without diluting it with a drop of water and after one of his two friends, Venkata Reddy, bets on Rs 10,000 if Karthik is able to complete the challenge.
Five bottles of wine died
Karthik has been married for a year and even became the father of his daughter nine days before the incident, perhaps making him face such a crazy challenge so easily. The incident took place on Wednesday, April 30, in the village of Poojarahalli in Mulbagil Taluk in Kolar district of Karnataka, about 260 km from the capital Bangalore.
After a challenge with the exact conditions of the bet (i.e., drinking five bottles without water), Karsik experienced health problems. He was soon taken to a hospital near Murbagar where he surrendered. The lawsuit was filed against six men at the Nangali police station, including two of Karthi’s friends, Venkata Reddy and Subramani. The two friends have been arrested and the police are looking for other defendants.
