A retired SBI employee, JS Chandramouli of Visakhapatnam, reportedly disappeared on Tuesday for Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). He did not reply to the phone.
More than 25 tourists were shot dead after a group of terrorists opened fire at them in Pahalgam on Tuesday.
According to sources, a retired employee of the National Bank of India, Chandramouli and his wife J. Naga Mani, Pandurangapuram area, have two other couples touring Kashmir.
In addition to Mr Chandramouli, the remaining five tourists, including Ms. Naga Mani, said their relatives expressed concerns about the safety of retired bank staff.
Speech Hindus, On Tuesday, Visakhapatnam Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Deputy Commissioner Nageswara Rao appealed to police to locate his brother-in-law, Mr Chandramouli, who disappeared in Pahalgam.
Police said they tried to get details from Andhra Pradesh tourists.
