“AAJ KA SABSE KHARAB Story”: Mohammed Shami angry, before traveling to England, Quashes test retirement rumors | Cricket News

Indian pacemaker Mohammed Shami criticized an online portal on Tuesday as he speculated about his future for his exams in a full five-game match against England on June 20.
Shami, 34, is currently playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, representing IPL 2025, slammed the report and reiterated his commitment to the country in the form of the longest match.
It is worth noting that specific media reports suggest that Shami may follow Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for a test retirement. It further claimed that the senior committee led by Ajit Agarkar was reluctant to select veteran pacemakers in the test squad for the upcoming series.
However, Shami, who last played for India in the ICC Men’s Championship Trophy in 2025, refuted these claims through a note on Instagram.
“Good done, Maharaj. One day),” Shami wrote in her Instagram story.
Shami has not participated in India’s Test since she played against Australia in the Oval World Test Championship final in June 2023. Overall, he played 64 tests for India and scored 229 wickets with a score of 27.71.
The veteran pacer is far from his best in the IPL 2025 season, playing only six wickets in nine games with an average economy of 11.23. Given his recent form, it is interesting whether India will be selected in the upcoming five-game series against England.
