Aamir Khan often talks about his long-term dream of making Mahabharat. Despite his passion for the project over the years, he has been postponing it due to the enormous responsibilities it assumes.

He admitted to caution because he didn't want to let anyone down. However, in a recent interview, Amir shared that he finally hopes to start working on the project this year. At the recent India @2047 Summit hosted by ABP Network, Aamir Khan revealed his dream project, Maab Bharata. He called it a very personal ambition, which he admitted was a difficult task.

He said: “My dream is that I am doing the dream of Mahabharat. It's a tough dream. Mahabharat will never let you down, but you may let Mahabharat down. Once Sitaare Zameen par is released on June 20, I will start working on Mahabharat and then I will start working on Mahabharat. Yes, I think it's a big project. What I want to say, I don't want to say.”

When asked about the role he wanted to play in Mahabharat, Aamir Khan revealed: “I really like the role of Lord Krishna. I was inspired by him, so this is the character I love.”

Aamir Khan had earlier revealed that Mahabharat will be produced in multiple parts and filmed all parts at the same time. He also mentioned that several directors would oversee different parts of the project. Initially, Aamir said that his main role was as a producer and he would consider acting in the movie later.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is preparing for the upcoming movie Sitaare Zameen Par. The trailer for this movie is scheduled to be released on May 8, 2025. The first poster to be unveiled recently received a positive response and now everyone is eagerly awaiting the trailer.
