Farooq Abdullah, chief of the National Conference, condemned the cruelty on Saturday, calling for unity on terrorism and sent a heartfelt message to the victims.
Abdullah declared that “the pot has spilled” in his speech to Ani, and it was time to evacuate terrorism once and for all, asserting that Jamu and Kashmir never stood with Pakistan and would never. “Those who died here, I want to tell the brides who got married six days ago, with the kids who saw their father soaked in blood, we cried too. We didn't eat either. We didn't eat either. We didn't eat either. Still there. There, they are not humans. They are not humans. They call themselves Muslims, but I don't think they are Muslims.
“I want to assure them that these sacrifices will not be in vain and that everything will be revenge…'ab ghada bhar gaya hai'. We need to uproot it now (terrorism). We have witnessed it for 35 years. But, they never won, they will never win,” Farooq said.
He also criticized the Indian Water Treaty, calling for stronger actions against cross-border hostilities and urged the country to unite, not only sad but also disobedient. “When the Indian Water Treaty was signed, the people of Jamu and Kashmir were not even consulted. The area that suffered the largest area of the treaty was JK. We could not build power stations without their permission. We could not even get the ratification of the bucket. Without their ratification. Today, I call on the Indian government to appeal to some people in Jammu to bring a National Assembly person to the people of Jammu.”
“India is the land of Gandhi. Yes, we have warned them (Pakistan) that we will stop the water, but we will not kill them. We are not as cruel as they are. They have committed atrocities against their people. Just look at the situation of Balochistan and Sindh.
The former JK chief minister stressed that he had gained a lot of courage after the meeting of tourists in Pahalgam after the fatal attack. “I had a lot of courage when I met the tourists. The kids told me, ‘Uncle, we’re here to stand with you.’ What can I say to the whole country?
Abdullah further stressed that they will never stand with Pakistan. Who were they who killed the Pandits of Kashmiris. As a CM, I can't walk, Mehbooba Mufti once visited the terrorist house. We have never been to terrorism with terrorism, we have never been Pakistani, we have never been one – none of us. Nor will we become the crown of India.
Furthermore, Farooq Abdullah said in a speech by Congress leader Charanjeet Singh Channi that it is inappropriate to discuss such things.
He called and said, “It's not the time to say that. If we say this now, we will strengthen the enemy. Let's end this first; everything else can be discussed later.”
The North Carolina chief said of the upcoming Amarnath Yatra: “Those who come to Amarnath Yatra cannot be afraid because he (Lord Amarnath) is here to protect them. Only those who do not have a heart will be afraid. You all should come, everyone will come.
