IAS officials suspended appeared in court on Wednesday with Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan.

Mr Prasant is expected to answer the disciplinary allegations raised by the government against him. The government accused him of devaluing senior officials on social media, undermining civil servant cohesion, disobeying and violating civil servant rules.

Previously, Ms Muraleedharan rejected Mr Prasanth’s request for a live hearing. He also said at a hearing on social media. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the issue was purely disciplinary and that the government was subject to proper procedures.
