Shahpur: Four people were killed in a fatal road accident on the Shahpur-Jevargi National Highway Thursday night when KSRTC bus collided with Bolero pickups between Aralahalli Cross and Maddaraki Cross.
According to police, the accident occurred during Bolero pick-up and dropped off and hit another vehicle on the bridge and hit the incoming KSRTC bus. Three passengers in Bolero died on the spot, while a fourth passenger was injured in the hospital.
All the dead were residents of Varcanali and were identified as drivers of Sharanappa (30), Bolero, Somavva (50), Tangamma (55) and Sunita (19).
A case has been registered with the B-Gudi Police Station under Articles 281, 125A, 125B and 106 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
