About Kancha Gachibowli Land Row deleted over 50 posts about “fake and misleading” content; BRS, the Union Minister’s account features

More than 50 social media posts related to the ongoing controversy over those 400 acres of Kancha Gachibowli land were removed after the Telangana government was identified as “fake and misleading.”
Shared primarily between March 31 and April 3, the positions are marked as spreading misinformation and ignite public sentiment towards the government’s proposed land plan.
Several deleted posts are derived from accounts related to Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), including “KCR Adda,” “BRS Telangana Sainyam,” and verification handles for party members such as Pavani Goud and Harish Reddy. Interestingly, the list also includes the official X account of Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, making it one of the few verified government link handles.
The posts often use hashtags like #SaveHcubioDoverity and #Savekanchagachibowli, accompanied by emotional language and accusing the Congressional administration of environmental damage and real estate-driven motivations. Deleted posts include a variety of visuals, text-based conversations, and reshared content from imitation accounts and influencers.
Earlier, the Gachibowli police of the Seyberabad Commission allegedly spread fake videos claiming wildlife threatened to the University of Hyderabad (UOH) campus in four cases against the IT cell of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
“These and other similar cases are under investigation. We are registering based on specific complaints. Each case will be individually checked and legal action will be taken after verifying the intent and context behind the shared content.”
Identification and tracking of positions is part of a broader effort by the state to resist the unrest.
