SVU party marks CM’s birthday

tirupati: The Senate Hall at Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) turned into a “nostalgic conference hall” Sunday, with former teachers, classmates, childhood friends and early colleagues of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu celebrating his 75th birthday.

The activities coordinated by Andhra Pradesh Sports Authority President Ravi Naidu and SVU alumni reflect the CM’s age of growth and leadership journey.

The gathering gathered together, from his attendance at Chandragiri to his academic tenure at SVU, who witnessed individuals at various stages of his early years. Many people recall him as a disciplined student with a strong sense of purpose, laying the foundation for his political career.

Professor KM Naidu, retired professor, taught CM during his time in economics, called him a serious and attentive learner, adding: “He was a greedy listener. Even in his youth, he had clear thinking and prepared to take responsibility.”

He also noted Naidu’s interest in agricultural research, including a “completed” doctoral dissertation on Acharya ng Ranga.

Kothapalli Devaraj Naidu, a childhood friend from Kandulavaripalli, said he had watched Naidu closely throughout his life, and he described him as a manifestation of determination and patience. “He always aims to be a leader and believes in discipline and effort,” he said.

He shares memories from 1968 when they were arrested for traveling by train after completing Level 10. He also points out that CM’s generosity in their hotel era – recalling Naidu used the money he received from the brand to help poor students pay for the exam.

Another friend, Bobba Dattatreya from Seshapuram, recalls studying with Naidu. “He has a high memory and always leads community service at the school level. Even today, he remembers all of us names.”

Another classmate Chandrasekhar Naidu emphasized Naidu’s diligence. “He was active since childhood. He held five acres of his family to 20 acres through hard work.” He also recalled the shared political guidance under Rajagopal Reddy during their time at SVU.

Former MLA Reddivari Rajasekhar Reddy survived the Alipiri bomb explosion with Naidu in 2003, describing CM as a visionary leader focused on development. “In the current situation, no one is more suitable to lead the country,” he said.

SAAP Chairman Ravi Naidu said the campaign aims to help young generations connect with the lives and values of leaders from moderate backgrounds. SVU Vice President Appa Rao, Register Professor Bhupathi Naidu, former MLA A Mohan and former VC P Murali were present.
