Kesineni Sivanath and Rajya Sabha MP and the Andhra Cricket Association Chairman of Vijayawada MP and Andhra Cricket Association S. Satish expressed grief for former Andhra Ranji Cricket Captain V. Rajagopal Yachendra.
Yachendra, 93, died Thursday in Venkatagiri, in the Nelore region. Mr Siwanat said in his condolences to his family: “He was the inspiration for many young cricketers in Andhra Pradesh.”
Yachendra is a native of Venkatagiri, playing for Andhra Ranji cricket team 15 Ranji Trophy matches between 1956 and 1965. He was recognized by the Andhra team from 1963 to 1965 and led the Andhra team.
