Consent with the Appointment of Vice President (V-CS) to the 10 bills for the appointment of state universities could lead to the Tamil Nadu government starting the selection process.

Currently, there are no VCs in 12 universities. These include Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU), Anna University, University of Madras, University of Balacia, Peryal University, Baratidas University, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Science University (VC’s semester (VC’s semester) extended by one year and ended by one year on Tuesday, it ended on Tuesday), Agricultural University, Teacher Education University, Sports University, and Annamalai and Jun University, Tamjiles and Jj University, Tamj and Jj University, Tamauk University and Jj and Tamir and Tamil University.

Among them, MKU and the University of Madras are in a serious financial crisis. They are working to pay their employees’ salaries, and in the latter case, their pension benefits for teachers who retire after 2017. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court agreed to replace the word “governor” (governor) in the amended bill, which has agreed to the Supreme Court and several issues have been raised in the academic community.

Some papers include: Will the Chief Minister appoint V-CS, or will the Minister of Higher Education or the Minister do so? Also, will the laws and regulations of appointing their respective universities be complied with? Will the government comply with the requirements of nominees from the University Grants Committee Chairman (UGC)?

“At Central University, the president of India, as prime minister, nominated as VC, he is a great academician, not a politician or bureaucrat,” said former VC of the University of Madras.

Sp Thyagarajan, another former VC at the university, said: “The role of the prime minister is not only to appoint V-CS, but also to oversee the growth and development of state universities and monitor all quality parameters. The possible benefit of the chief minister is that Chancellor is the financial support of the government, which will ensure all important states.”

P. Tirunavukkarasu, president of the University Teachers Association, said that if the governor does not insist on appointing the nominee for the UGC chair and follows university regulations, then the problem will not arise. “We hope a three-person search team to get the job done and appoint a kind academician. This will help the institution. In 2018 and 2019, the convener committee saved the university Rs 92 crore. We need honest Syndicate members who will ensure that the law is followed for the VCs,” he said.
