ACB arrests Suryapet DSP, CI

Nalgonda: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested police officers K. Partha Sarathi and Suryapet Deputy Commissioner P. Veera Raghavulu on Monday, demanding that Rs 2.5 lakh be arrested from the scanning center to avoid arresting him.

ACB officials acted against the complaints from the owner of the scan center, who provided evidence to two policemen who requested bribes. The complainant agreed to pay a bribe of Rs 1.6 lakh and then approached the ACB.

ACB officials raided the Suryapet DSP office and arrested DSP Partha Sarathi and inspector Veera Raghavulu.

A team of Telangana Medical Committee raided the scanning center on April 18 and found that the person running the center did not have the educational qualification (radiology) required for MD (radiology), he forged the certificate and his registration for medical practice has expired. Thereafter, the case was filed against the central owner near the Telangana Tallu statue in Suryapet.
