ACP Pradyuman died of CID 27 years later, fans believe this is the end of Sony TV

Fans are heartbroken as ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam, died in a bomb explosion in the latest CID episode.

ACP Pradyuman dies from CID

ACP Pradyuman is one of the most iconic characters on Indian TV and no longer exists. On the latest CID episode on Sony TV and aired on Saturday night on Sonyliv, the character played by Shivaji Satam was killed in a bomb explosion performed by the villain Barboza of the show played by The Filmmker-Actor Tigmanshu Dhulia.

After the episode, Sony TV shared an article on its social media, including photos of ACP Pradyuman. The words on the picture read “The End of the Times. ACPPradyuman (1998-2025)”, “In the memory of ACP Pradyuman’s lovers, the posts are all titled… This will never be forgotten.” Fans expressed their anger and shock in the comment section.

One fan wrote: “Sorry, this is not ACP Pradyuman. It’s the RIP of CID. And tore up Sony TV. Because of this ruthless move, you not only ended a character. You covered up a legacy. You covered up millions of emotions. You destroyed millions of people deep inside us.

“Why are you so Sony? Why do you kill ACP pradyuman? He is not only a character, he is a part of our life. He is a place of strength, wisdom, justice and nostalgia. For 25 years he has stood tall, sinned, committed dignity, and now it’s over his everything? You decided on a Ford man, so your company came down. Your child respects your grace. Goodbye, you just broke millions of hearts in a post.

One fan also shared his interesting reactions when he wrote: “In 27 years, despite solving almost everything in episode 1 or 2, he has never been promoted. He was initially ACP and died as ACP. It just shows the toxic work culture of CID, and even though he was the best employee, everything he got, but more cases are jobs. But no promotion.

Speaking of his exit from CID, Shivaji Satam told the Mumbai Times: “I’ve been on a break for a while and the manufacturer knows everything in the show will get a little bit. I’ve learned to strode forward and if my track is over, I’m OK. However, I haven’t told me if my track is over. I don’t know if my track isn’t clear yet.

The police’s program exhibition began in 1998 and developed a cult over the years. After the first season ended in October 2018, the show renewed its second season in December 2024. CID has so far nearly 1600 episodes, the longest fictional show on Indian TV.
