Actor Shine Tom Chacko appeared at the Kochi City Police Department in Kerala around Saturday (April 19, 2025). He appeared at the Ernakulam Town North Police Department after police summoned him to attack him late Wednesday by the Special Anti-Drug Operations Force (DANSAF) forces, who called him to question the incident of his escape from a hotel in Kaloor, Kochi. The actor refuses to talk to the vast amount of media gathered in front of the station.
According to reports, the police have prepared detailed questionnaires of more than 30 questions, including why he fled to see the police team. It is reported that the police also collected his call record data. The Assistant Specialist in Narcotic Cells was also present at the site. The interrogation is in progress.
Mr. Chacko has been unnotified except for his social media posts since the incident. The police called him to the notice and asked him about his residence in Kochi City.

Police also collected CCTV footage from CCTV, where Mr Chacko fled the Kaloor Hotel in the city center. He allegedly jumped on asbestos paper on the second floor and fled the room on the third floor. He allegedly escaped from the pool area, headed along the stairs to the reception area, and then escaped the cycling ball on a two-wheeler.
The DANSAF team reportedly arrived at the hotel when they received tips about drug vendors. They began to exist in the hotel through the register and chose to knock on the door.
By the way, the actor was recently acquitted in an additional meeting court in Ernakulam and arrested in 2015 on the grounds of procedural errors in police during drug seizure.
Although there was no response at first, another person opened the door. However, despite detailed searches, police officers have not recovered any narcotics from the room.
Recently, actor Vince Aloshious filed a formal complaint with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), where she reportedly named Mr Chacko in the Film and Malayalam Film Artists Association (AMMA). This comes days after she filed drug use charges and male co-stars.
