Kerala’s Kochi City Police arrested actor Tom Chacko after more than four hours of interrogation at the North Police Department of Aenakulam on Saturday (April 19, 2025). This comes after he was acquitted earlier this year in a 2015 drug case.
Mr Chacko was based on an inquiry from the police that he allegedly fled his inquiry at a hotel in Kaloor, Kochi City, in an attack by the Anti-Drug Special Forces (DANSAF) late Wednesday, involving a subpoena he asked in the incident, based on an inquiry from the police, according to a question from the police.
According to initial reports, bookings have been made under Section 27 of the Anesthetic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (Punishment for the consumption of any anesthetic drugs or psychotropic substances) and Section 29 (Punishment for temporary and criminal conspiracy). The first information report (FIR) has been registered. These fees are bailable and are reapable.
He was mainly called up by him and asked why he fled the hotel’s police team. The actor reportedly claimed he didn’t know it was a police team and “falsely thought they were trying to beat him.”

Police reportedly collected his mobile call data records and WhatsApp chat. A senior police team consisting of Ernakulam Central Assistant Commissioner C. Jayakumar and Narcotics Cell Assistant Commissioner Ka Abdul Salam.
Police also collected CCTV videotapes and Mr. Chuck fled Kaloor’s hotel. He allegedly jumped on asbestos paper on the second floor and fled the room on the third floor. He allegedly crossed the swimming area, took the stairs to the reception area, and fled the cycling-style chunk on his two-wheeler.
The DANSAF team reportedly arrived at the hotel after receiving tips about the drug vendors. They learned about Mr. Chaye’s presence in the hotel through the register and chose to knock on the door.
