MS Dhoni will not retire, Stephen Fleming has a clear answer after CSK vs DC

CSK vs DC: A match started with Dhoni after Chepauk opening, Whispers may announce retirement after the match is over.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) head coach Stephen Fleming has silenced all retirement rumors about MS Dhoni, insisting that the ticket inspector batsman is still on an impressive level. Fleming shared these thoughts after the team faced 25 defeats to the Delhi capital in 2025 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The loss marks the third straight defeat in the competitive league season 18 as they struggle to chase the 184 runs set by Axar Patel’s Delhi Capitals, captain of Ruturaj Gaikwad.
One match started with Dhoni at Chepauk, and may announce retirement after the match ended. Chats intensified when Dhoni’s parents were spotted watching Chennai games in the stands.
In a post-game press conference, a reporter asked coach Fleme about the possibility of Doni’s retirement. He replied: “He is still strong and I don’t even ask him about his future these days.”
In the match against Delhi Capitals, Doni scored in seventh place. The experienced right-handed batsman scored 30 runs on 26 goals, including a quarter and six. Even at some point, Dhoni kept calm and did not rush to reach the limit.
Dhoni worked with Vijay Shankar to form an uninterrupted sixth victory partnership with a total of 84 runs. Shankar ended with an unbeaten 69 goals. Unfortunately, the home team was unable to win and eventually faced failure.
