Kumar Gandharva Centennial Celebration: Music Concert in Bellagarve on March 30

Classical musicians from all over the country will perform at the Centennial of Belagavi on March 30 in Kumar Gandharva.
The Kumar Gandharva Foundation, in partnership with KLE Society, will organize music concerts on the centenary of birth of the recipients of Hindustani Maestro and Padma Vibhushan.
The event will be held in the BS Dr. Kodkini Auditorium at the KLE Centennial Convention Center on the JNMC campus of Nehru Nagar.
The first session will be between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., with Siddhartha Belmannu and Kalapini Komkali presenting Hindustan classical performances. Vishwamohana Bhat will show Mohan Veena’s performance.
The next session will be between 5pm and 9pm, with Sudhakar Chavan, Ankita Joshi and Bhuvanesh Komkali singing and Praveen Godkhindi performing a flute. They will be accompanied by Aravind Kumar Azad, Mayanka Bidekar, Sridhar Mandre and Sudhanshu Kulkani, Saranga Kulkarni and Swananda Kulkarni.
The program is sponsored by Belgaum Art Circle. Organizers Saranga Kulkarni and Bhuvanesh Komkali’s release said there was free admission.
Kumar Gandharva was born in 1924 in Shivaputrayya Sidramayya Komkalimath in Sulebavi Village, Bellagarve region. Several organizations held a 100th anniversary celebration nationwide.
