After Indigo, Akasa Air now transfers its entire operation to Terminal 1 of Delhi Airport

Akasa Air has moved its entire business to Terminal 1 of Indira Gandhi International Airport starting April 15.
Domestic airlines said on Wednesday that all flights to and from Delhi were operated from terminal 1 (1d) to further notice.
It added that the move is consistent with the airport’s planned maintenance activities.
Earlier, Akasa Air operated all domestic operations along with Indigo from the 2 (T2) terminal of IGI Airport.
As part of the 3A phase expansion project at Delhi Airport, T1 will be fully operational on Tuesday after the expansion and modernization of the terminal is completed.
The expanded T1 can accommodate 40 million passengers, and the T3 can handle 45 million passengers per year. DIAL said last month that T2 can handle 15 million passengers in the year.
Akasa Air further stated that it is working closely with the Delhi Airport authorities to ensure passengers continue to enjoy a seamless boarding experience.
It is also actively communicating with customers about this change to keep them informed.

Fair trade regulator CCI on Tuesday approved proposals for tech tycoon Premji Invest, family office of Manipal Group chief Ranjan Pai and 360 assets betIn SNV Aviation, the parent company of domestic airline Akasa Air.
SNV Aviation Pvt Ltd, which operates Akasa Air, is engaged in air passenger and cargo transportation services.
“The proposed portfolio involves PIOF, PI executives, Claypond and 360 Fund acquire a certain stake in Akasa Air and through its investment manager, 360 Ane Alterates Alterates Adlate Adlate Adlate Adlate Management Ltd,” the Competition Commission of India (CCI) said in a statement.
Currently, the airline is linked to 23 domestic and 5 international destinations. It operates flights to Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Guwahati, Guwahati, Agatara, Pune, Pune, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Varanasi, Bagdogra, Bubas Gorakhpur and Darbhanga.
On international destinations, it serves the cities of Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait, with a fleet of 27 Boeing 737 Max Aircraft.
