Passengers accused of smoking on booking plane

Nedumbassery police at Kochi Airport detained a passenger accused of smoking in the toilet.

The defendant was identified as a Nattika native of Thrissur, detained on his arrival from Dubai. Cabin staff on the flight reportedly reminded authorities of the landing on Monday night. He was then handed over to the Nedumbassery police.

He was booked in the relevant parts of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act. He was later released on bail.
