CM Revanth says TG inflation is the lowest

Hyderabad:Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said Telangana has become the country’s lowest inflation state, a dramatic shift in the BRS regime when price growth rates are at its highest.

Revanth Reddy highlighted this economic milestone in a post on Saturday X, attributed it to the “transformative and people-centered” policies implemented by the Congressional administration since it came to power. In the flagship scheme he cites, there are free women’s bus trips, subsidized LP cylinders provide free electricity for Rs 500, consuming up to 200 units of households, “1 million units under the Rajiv Aarogyasri healthcare scheme, and more recently free rice promotions through production stores.

“Telangana has the highest inflation rate in the country under the BRS rule. Today, it is the lowest inflation country, demonstrating the people’s government and its transformative, common people-centered policies,” Revanth Reddy said.

He said the government’s bold welfare initiatives not only reduce the economic burden on citizens, but also promote systemic change. “The change that people hope for is now reality. It’s the people’s government,” he said.

Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NSO) showed that Telangana had the lowest inflation rate, with only 1.3% in February. According to the NSO report, Kerala tops the list with 7.3%, followed by Chhattisgarh (4.9), Karnataka (4.5) (4.5), Bihar (4.5) and Jammu & Kashmir (4.3). At the lower end, Andhra Pradesh recorded 2.4% inflation, Delhi (1.5) and Telangana, with the lowest inflation recorded at 1.3%.
