AIADMK signed an election agreement with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) last week to participate in the polls for the 2026 General Assembly, which will be held on May 2 at the party headquarters in Chennai.
The meeting is likely to provide recognition to the decision of Party General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami to restore the alliance with the BJP, which Dravidian Major in September 2023 and withdrew from the Naitonal Demoptic Alliance (NDA). Mr Palaniswami is expected to clarify the reasons for the deal.
The meeting will be chaired by the party’s chairman A. Tamilmagan Hussain.
