The All India Insurance Pensioners Association (AIIPA) will hold its 9th Congress in Mysuru from June 2-4, and a seminar here on Saturday.
Organizers said it was the prelude to the three-day meeting, which the association has launched a campaign to support its demand for universal pensions as social security, which will be a major issue discussed during the meeting.
The workshop was the prelude to a national campaign to support its needs, and the senior office owner of Aiipa said existing pension plans covering central and state employees as well as the public and private sectors are essentially contributing and contributing programs.
However, AIIPA coordinates with other organizations to promote the need for universal pension plans, which are non-businesses.
Aiipa cited a report from the National Population Commission that older people make up more than 15% of the population, but most people do not have social security or pension benefits. The association said it was a stain on the state and cited the court’s observation that pensions are not charities, but the right of the elderly to live dignity after retirement.
AIIPA also opposes the government’s privatization drivers and the center and the state’s “anti-labor” policies. The association notes that non-restricted pension plans can be created for all seniors by levieding small taxes on our super-rich top 1% tax.
Resource staff at the workshop reiterated this aspect, including Shrikanth Mishra, Secretary General of AIIEA, Secretary Kn Umesh of the Indian Trade Union Centre, New Delhi and others.
