The All India Muslim Private Law Commission has sought an emergency appointment with President Droupadi Murmu to express concerns about the recently passed WAQF (Amendment) bill, and then she agreed.

AIMPLB spokesman SQR ILYAS said in his release of the contents of a letter written by Maulana Fazlur Rahim Mujaddadi, secretary general of the board, that major changes in the amendments introduced by the bill include behaviors that affect WAQF Instation and have played religious and religious roles in religion, with major changes in the bill including major changes.

The letter noted that the board of directors met with the president in an attempt to express deep concern about the recently passed bill and its impact on Muslim communities across the country.

It further pointed out that the legislation was “completely unconstitutional and an attack on Muslims in the country”.

“WAQF Act that Violates Basic Rights”

“We believe that the provisions of the bill need to be seriously reconsidered because they are inconsistent with the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Indian Constitution, especially in respect of religious freedom, equality and the protection of religious institutions,” the General Secretary of the AIMPLB said in a letter to the president.

The board has asked the president to facilitate early appointments “because of the seriousness of the matter” in order to raise his concerns and discuss possible resolutions within the constitutional framework.

Mr Mujaddidi said in a statement that the passage of the bill marked the black chapter of the world’s largest democracy.

“The ruling party has been crossing restrictions and covering up its mistakes and failures, and it has been promoting sectarian hatred in the country. The WAQF (Amendment) bill is part of its same design. Although the bill is wrongly predicted to be pro-Muslim, it is completely unacceptable for Muslims.”

Mr. Mujadidi said it was regrettable that the government did not pay attention to the concerns expressed by all the Indian Muslim Private Law Commission and other Muslim organizations.

National WAQF Act protests

The AIMPLB statement said that after Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha introduced the bill, opposition MPs opposed the bill in an extraordinary, well-prepared and responsible manner and made the Muslim stance sharper.

“This is a very welcome development. The board of directors expressed gratitude to all the chiefs and members of the MPs of the opposition and thanked them for their sensitivity. We hope they will work together in their campaign against the bill in the future,” Aimplb said.

However, the actions of the BJP and its allies of its leaders, especially those of Nitish Kumar, Chandra Babu Naidu, Chirag Pasawan and Jayant Chaudhary.

“Given their secular image, Muslims have always supported them. However, they betrayed Muslims and this will never be forgiven. They will have to bear the brunt of the brunt,” the statement said.

“Muslims associated with these political parties should reconsider their status. What will their position be after this betrayal? What kind of course should they take as Muslims as Muslims? It is sad to prefer their own political interests rather than the cause that affects the entire Muslim community.”

Aimplb said it will file efforts nationwide and launch legal lawsuits.

Rajya Sabha paid tribute after more than 13 hours of debate, and the Parliament approved the bill earlier on Friday.

The bill was passed in Rajya Sabha with 128 members voting for it, while 95 opposed it. It passed in Lok Sabha earlier Thursday, with 288 members supporting it and 232 supporting it.
